Hawa Bladi is a tremendously exciting new recruit for Pimlico Racing. By top-class sire Sea The Stars, half-brother to two black-type performers on the flat and closely related to Oaks winner Taghrooda, he was purchased as an unraced three year old at Newmarket in February.
He has enjoyed a good break with trainer Tim Vaughan and has really grown and strengthened since being gelded shortly after we acquired him.
We had hoped to run in a bumper this spring, but with racing stopping, he will now be prepared for his racecourse debut in September 2020.

Tim Vaughan is one of the UK’s leading jumps trainers, with over 800 winners in his career to date.
Based 15 miles from Cardiff, Pant Wilkin Stables is set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, but is a state-of-the-art training facility that has been built from scratch since Tim started at the yard on Gold Cup day in 2008.
Tim and the team are always very welcoming and we look forward to plenty more enjoyable and successful days with the syndicate, both on and off the racecourse.
Exciting novice prospect Connard is our new recruit and will start off over hurdles in the autumn, while Hawa Bladi, an unraced son of Sea The Stars who will be aimed at bumpers in the autumn, is another exciting hope for the 2020/21 campaign.
