A regally-bred six-year-old, Prince Charmin’ has a very strong level of form over hurdles. He was purchased with a view to aiming him at some valuable handicap hurdles in the season ahead.
A winner on the flat in his early days, Prince Charmin’ developed into a useful hurdler last year, winning in novice company before following up in a competitive €20,000 handicap hurdle off a mark of 118, the feature of both wins being the manner in which he travelled through the contests.
At his best in a big field and when held up off a strong gallop, the son of High Chaparral looks to have all the attributes that are required to make a mark in valuable handicaps. Out of a half-sister to top-class flat stayers Craigsteel and Invermark, as well as the high-class hurdler Hora (herself the dam of high-class hurdler Thomas Campbell), there is a distinct possibility of further improvement.
He is an exciting dual-purpose performer and will run on flat and over hurdles this summer.

Tim Vaughan is one of the UK’s leading jumps trainers, with over 750 winners in his career to date.
Based 15 miles from Cardiff, Pant Wilkin Stables is set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, but is a state-of-the-art training facility that has been built from scratch since Tim started at the yard on Gold Cup day in 2008.
Tim and the team are always very welcoming and we look forward to plenty more enjoyable and successful days with the syndicate, both on and off the racecourse.
Prince Charmin’ and new arrival Hawa Bladi, an unraced son of Sea The Stars who will be aimed at junior bumpers in the autumn, are our exciting hopes for the 2019/20 campaign.
