Passing Time

Passing Time
2020 bay colt by Time Test (GB) ex Flashing Colour (Ger) (Pivotal (GB))
A son of Time Test, one of the success stories of the stallion ranks in 2021, we were delighted to purchase our first yearling to have in training with Andrew Balding at the Tattersalls September Yearling Sale.
Sire Time Test could hardly have made a better impression in 2021 - he had four stakes winners from his first crop of two year olds, as well as one reaching the frame at the top level when third in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes in Ireland. A son of Dubawi, he held an identical official rating to another son of Dubawi, Night Of Thunder, who has since established himself as an excellent sire.
It was also very encouraging to see a filly bred on the same lines (Time Test out of a Pivotal mare) make an impressive winning debut in a 15-runner maiden at Newmarket in October!
The dam's side of the pedigree is strong, too; one of only two male siblings was a winner in Germany and ran to a Racing Post Rating of 93, while three half-sisters also won races. Their dam, Flashing Colour, was a Listed winner in Germany, and is a half-sister to Royal Ascot-winning two year old Tha'ir, as well as being a half-sister to the dam of last year's Group 2 Royal Lodge runner-up Ontario.
An excellent physical and a very athletic colt, Passing Time is showing up very well in his work and we look forward to seeing him on the racecourse in late summer/autumn.

Andrew Balding
A Classic-winning trainer in his first season with a licence back in 2003, Andrew Balding has since established himself as one of the leading flat trainers in the UK, with numerous top-level successes around the world in recent years.
2021 has been his best season to date, finishing second in the Royal Ascot Trainer standings, leading the way with five winners at Glorious Goodwood, and leading the way in the National Trainers' Championship as we enter the final few weeks of the season.
Park House Stables in Kingsclere is an exceptional training establishment, with first-class facilities and a range of gallops that include the picturesque turf gallop on Watership Down.
Nathaniel has a longstanding association with the yard, having run the Kingsclere Racing Club since its inception in 2008, so we are delighted to have a first Pimlico Racing two year old with Andrew for 2022.
