Alice impresses at Roscommon

Alice Avril is absolutely fine today after her impressive win at Roscommon yesterday evening!

The four-year-old daughter of Balko has looked an absolute natural in both starts over fences and built on her promising third at Limerick last month with an all-the-way victory yesterday, jumping fluently and staying on strongly up the straight to win with plenty to spare.  Jockey Darragh O’Keeffe was very impressed with her and it certainly was a smart performance, as there were some useful horses in opposition.

Henry would now like to target her at the Grade 3 Kilbegnet Novices’ Chase back at Roscommon at the end of September, so that’s something to look forward to, though we may look to give her an entry at Tramore next week in a rated novices’ chase.
