About Us
Pimlico Racing
Over the past decade, Nathaniel Barnett has managed two of the leading racing syndicates in the UK, with winners at racecourses throughout the country and abroad, from Ascot and Cheltenham to Auteuil and Saint-Cloud.
Pimlico Racing has National Hunt horses in training with top-class trainers across Ireland and the UK.
Pimlico Racing was launched in 2019, focusing on acquiring horses that can take us to the big meetings, both over jumps and on the flat.
Our first three horses to run all won, including two on their first start for us, with all three sourced for £8,000 or less. We enjoyed our first big success in March 2021, with Zoffany Bay landing a €100,000 Listed contest at Auteuil.
We hit the ground running with multiple winners in Ireland in the past 18 months and we have an exciting team to look forward to in 2023/24.
Our National Hunt horses in Ireland for 2023/24 are Cottie, Mystic Sage and Pastorale (all with Henry de Bromhead), Ninth Titan and North Moon (Willie Mullins), new recruit Innatendue (John McConnell) and Zoffany Bay (Peter Fahey).
In the UK, we have a lovely unraced four year old called Stardhem and a recent Goffs Arkle Sale purchase, an unraced three year old by Kalanisi (both with Ben Pauling), while Mourzouk (Tim Vaughan) is back in training, having won three in a row for us when last seen on the racecourse.
Having started with just one share, my first foray into ownership, I now have an interest in four horses with Pimlico Racing. Nathaniel does a wonderful job keeping us informed and entertaining us on racedays and I am learning more about this fascinating sport with every passing day.

Nathaniel Barnett
Manager, Pimlico Racing and Pimlico Racing Ireland
Nathaniel Barnett has been a leading syndicate and racing club manager since 2008, with over 150 winners in that time.
Nathaniel has a wealth of experience in the industry, having worked as a form advisor for a leading flat trainer, as researcher for racing presenter Clare Balding and as assistant trainer to Tim Vaughan, prior to setting up a bloodstock agency in 2013, which he continues to run. He has bought the winners of over 300 races to date, including 2022 Coral Gold Cup (Hennessy) winner Le Milos.

Tom Raine
Co-Manager, Pimlico Racing Ireland
Though an accountant by trade, Tom has always had an affinity with horses and before embarking on his current career, he was based as a work rider in the UK for a couple of seasons in 2012/13 working for Tim Vaughan. He also trained a winner himself between the flags in Ireland!
One third of the popular ‘The Finishing Line‘ podcast, Tom has come on board to co-manage the running of Pimlico Racing’s Irish-based syndicates and will be present on all racedays and stable visits.
