Pastorale runs a huge race for Listed third

Pastorale is fast developing into a smart young novice hurdler and the four year old gained the first black type of her short career to date when third in the Listed Billy Harney Memorial Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Thurles this afternoon.

The daughter of Pastorius is looking an excellent claim from France, a route that has been very fruitful for us in the past, as she stayed on from off the pace to finish third to two very highly-regarded fillies, on what was just her second start since joining Henry de Bromhead.

The only four year old in the first five home, she looks sure to progress further and will be seen to better effect as she steps up in trip in due course.  We’ll most likely now stick to Listed/Graded novice company for the time being and she is such an exciting prospect for her owners – congratulations to all involved.
