Chutzpal wins in style

Chutzpal made his second start for us a winning one with a wide-margin success at Killarney on Wednesday.

Billy Lee sent him straight into the lead and Chutzpal always looked to be travelling strongly, quickening clear a couple of furlongs out and never looking in any danger.

It was an impressive performance from the five year old, a bargain purchase who had been bought with the Tramore Derby in mind – he was favourite for that race before the contest was abandoned due to waterlogging earlier this month.

The handicapper has reacted with a 14lbs hike, which looks quite harsh, but Chutzpal remains open to further improvement with Henry de Bromhead and we also have the option of going over hurdles.  Congratulations to all of his owners!
