Hat-trick up for Mourzouk!

Mourzouk is a fast-progressing five year old and he brought up a quick-fire hat-trick with victory at Newton Abbot yesterday under Charlie Price.

Having scored in maiden and then novice company in recent weeks, he faced a tougher task on his handicap debut, taking on some decent handicappers in what looked a competitive contest, despite the small field.  Sent out in front by Charlie, he tended to jump right at his hurdles, but produced another very game performance and was never headed at any stage, coming home clear to win by over 4 lengths.

We’ll wait to see what the handicapper does before making any plans for him, but we’ll likely give him a bit longer before his next run – hopefully we can find a suitable spot to give him every chance of making it a four-timer!  Congratulations to all the owners involved – a really enthusiastic bunch who are living the dream with Mourzouk in recent weeks!
