Lureka Du Noyer

New for 2026! Lureka Du Noyer is a horse we have been tracking for some time, being the five-year-old full brother to our very own Zurich!
A strong, scopey son of the exceptional Doctor Dino, Lureka Du Noyer’s form in France is undoubtedly a good few notches above the level Zurich was running to there in his couple of bumpers/one run over hurdles.
Runner-up on his chasing debut in July, following three good efforts over hurdles, he has since recorded some strong performances in handicap company around Auteuil, twice finishing fourth in highly-competitive handicap chases at 2m6f on very soft/heavy ground.
We are sure he will be better suited to a slight drop in trip and, in particular, better ground, much like his brother Zurich, who scored at Cheltenham in October and whose next run will hopefully come at the Festival in March!
THE PEDIGREE
A second foal, Lureka Du Noyer’s sole sibling of racing age is full brother Zurich, though the four year old half-brother, Manu Du Noyer, was purchased last summer by Dan Skelton for €110,000!
Dam Zureka won on her hurdling debut and is a full sister to black-type hurdler Compatriote, as well as being a half-sister to another Listed performer around Auteuil and to the granddam of classy pair Botox Has (triple Grade 2 winner for Gary Moore) and Bourbon Has (runner-up in the Grade 1 Prix Cambaceres in November, the French equivalent of the Triumph Hurdle).
It’s a great page and obviously the sire, Doctor Dino, needs no introduction!
THE PLAN
Lureka Du Noyer will head over to Ireland later this month and will have a few weeks off before starting up in pre-training. We’ll look to have him ready to go early in the new season, starting on the racecourse in late May in a maiden hurdle and then working towards Galway. He has a strong body of form over fences and hopefully we’ll be talking about spring festivals for him as well in 2027!
Just a four year old, he will continue to fill his considerable frame and looks the type to continue progressing in the seasons to come.

Henry de Bromhead
Having started training at the turn of the millennium, Henry rapidly established himself as a leading force in the National Hunt ranks in Ireland and two decades on, the list of races that have gone the way of the County Waterford-based handler is hugely impressive.
A record-breaking Cheltenham Festival, during which Henry had six winners that included the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and Gold Cup, was swiftly followed by a famous 1-2 in the Grand National, providing further evidence of a yard that continues at the very top of its game.
Henry has already trained many winners for us in the Pimlico Racing silks and we are delighted to have four horses in training (Becasse, Chutzpal, Dschingis Dragon and Zurich) with Henry for 2025.
