The team have continued in excellent form and two-year-old Antonin Dvorak has really impressed in his two wins, the latest of them at Chelmsford last week.

We had a very enjoyable visit to Henry de Bromhead’s yard last weekend and dates for our next visits to Willie Mullins, John McConnell, Gavin Cromwell and Ben Pauling will follow in the coming fortnight.

There’s plenty to look forward to on the racecourse in the weeks ahead, including Ninth Titan running in Listed company at Limerick and Amina having options at Galway and Cheltenham.

Enjoy the read!

Awesome Antonin heads to Newmarket Sales

Antonin Dvorak has quickly established himself as a very smart prospect, following up his wide-margin win at Musselburgh in September with another comfortable success, under a penalty at Chelmsford last week.

Both Karl and jockey Shane Gray feel he is a black-type performer and we had intended on heading to Deauville for a Listed race there early next month, but Tattersalls were very keen to have him in the sale and he’ll go there with a strong reserve.

Given his exceptional pedigree and the form in the book, he looks sure to attract plenty of suitors and it will be an exciting few days ahead for his syndicate owners.  If he doesn’t make what he’s worth, we’ll take him home and look forward to next year!

Let us know if you’re interested in taking a share in a yearling with us this year. Our budget is around £30,000 – £40,000 and shares will start from 5%.

Ninth Titan runs in Limerick Listed on Saturday

Ninth Titan heads to Limerick on Saturday for his first attempt at Listed level over hurdles. Paul Townend is back on board, and hopefully the pair can go one better than when a close second at the Galway Festival.

He is the top-rated in the field and Willie’s team are in great form (as is often the case!).  The ground is currently good, which is a big plus, and they aren’t forecast as much rain overnight as had been the case, so hopefully he will have everything in his favour.  We’re really looking forward to seeing what he can do and fingers crossed for a big run.

We have a few spare owners badges for Limerick tomorrow, so if any Pimlico members would like to apply for these, please email nathaniel@pimlicoracing.co.uk.

Amina has Galway and Cheltenham options

John McConnell has been very pleased with Amina‘s work and is considering a tilt at the bumper at Cheltenham’s October meeting.

She has been given plenty of time since her debut run at the Galway Festival, when a highly-promising third, and this could well be her last run before a little break over the winter, as she’s a big filly who still has some developing to do.

She has an option back in a fillies’ bumper at Galway next Sunday, or at Cheltenham the day before.  We’ll enter in both and take a look before deciding on where she runs.

Pauling pair not far off a run

Collanisi and Stardhem have both been showing up well at home and both are nearly ready to run.

Collanisi has been showing plenty of speed in his work on the gallops and hopefully he can make an immediate impact in a bumper in the coming weeks, while Stardhem is schooling well in advance of his return to action and looks to be on a good mark, which hopefully he can exploit to full effect this autumn/winter.

They are two lovely prospects and we look forward to an exciting season ahead with them.

Other updates from around the yards

Chutzpal has done brilliantly for us this season, winning three times and running well in defeat, on ground he didn’t enjoy, at Killarney last time.  The plan is to run at Cheltenham’s November meeting, providing we get a sound surface (as is so often the case at that meeting), and otherwise we might give him a spin at Dundalk, where he has won in the past.

I Am Mimi has had an easy few weeks to freshen him up and is likely to be back on the racecourse in the month ahead.  His third place last time, giving a stone in weight to the first two, looks better in light of the winner scoring in handicap company off 119 next time and hopefully he can shed his maiden tag in the near future.

Innatendue had a very small niggle which meant she will be two weeks later than the above pair into Henry’s yard, but she had done everything well in her pre-training prior to that and should be back on the racecourse at the end of next month.

North Moon had a small sinus infection, but is A1 again now and will be back in ridden exercise in a week’s time.  We’ve had a stop-start time of it with him since his intended debut in August, but he has shown a lot of promise in his work and hopefully we’ll have a clear run to the racecourse now.

Pastorale and Zurich looked in fantastic shape at our recent visit to Henry de Bromhead’s yard, a video of which will be following shortly.  We were lucky to enjoy the best morning of the autumn weather-wise, and both horses look tremendously well in themselves.

Pastorale is a bigger, stronger mare now and we’ll follow a similar path to last season, while Zurich is unlikely to wait long before being sent chasing, though we may give him a spin over hurdles first.  Both will be ready to start out in November.
