Promising Lureka doubles up with Tramore success

Lureka Du Noyer is a full brother to none other than Pimlico flagbearer Zurich, but the five year old looks a very smart prospect in his own right, making it two wins from three starts in the purple and gold with victory at Tramore yesterday.

The son of Doctor Dino is another successful French import to join the Pimlico team and he took a good step forward on the form of his first two runs for us and trainer Henry de Bromhead, jumping well in the hands of Darragh O’Keeffe and showing an excellent attitude to give weight and a beating to the runner-up, the step up to 2m4f clearly helping.

His future undoubtedly lies over fences, but there are nice races to be won over hurdles first and he looks worth trying in Listed/Graded novice company, with the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow on 9th October one possibility, though there are also options closer to home.

Nathaniel Barnett has been a leading syndicate and racing club manager since 2008, with over 200 winners in that time, as well as an established, successful bloodstock agent. Nathaniel has a wealth of experience in the industry, having worked as a form advisor for Andrew Balding, as researcher for racing presenter Clare Balding and as assistant trainer to Tim Vaughan, prior to setting up as a bloodstock agent in 2013. He has bought the winners of over 400 races to date, including 2022 Coral Gold Cup (Hennessy) winner Le Milos. Nathaniel’s recent winners include successes in 2025 on Arc weekend at ParisLongchamp, on French Gold Cup day and in Listed company at Auteuil. As well as Pimlico Racing, Nathaniel also runs the Kingsclere Racing Club for the Balding family and is racing manager in France for Sangwin Bloodstock.
