Runners at Cheltenham and Ayr this week

 In Pimlico Racing Blog

We have a busy few days ahead, with Cottie (pictured) heading to Cheltenham tomorrow, while Innatendue (Ayr) and Stardhem (Fontwell Park) will both be running on Friday.

The Challenger Series Mares’ Final at Cheltenham has been the plan for Cottie for some time and the ground has finally come in her favour, which is a huge boost to her chances.  Harry Skelton is booked to ride and hopefully she can run a big race and add a good chunk to Dan’s prize-money haul as he pursues a maiden Trainers’ Championship title!

Innatendue heads to Ayr’s Scottish Grand National meeting, where she should hold strong claims in the mares’ maiden hurdle.  A £15,000 contest, it looks a good opportunity for her and certainly calmer waters than the Dublin Racing Festival handicap in which she ran creditably when last seen.

Stardhem is our final runner of the week and we look forward to another improved showing at Fontwell Park.  A real chasing type, he will be seen to better effect over the larger obstacles in due course, but is in great form and hopefully he can sign off for the season with a nice run.  Good luck to all our owners this week!
