Zoffany Bay retires in race named in his honour!

 In Pimlico Racing Blog

Zoffany Bay has been a brilliant performer for Pimlico Racing over the past few years and we were delighted to give him a proper send-off yesterday, with the final run of his 51-race career coming in the ‘Pimlico Racing Happy Retirement Zoffany Bay Handicap’ at Navan!

One of the first to run in the Pimlico Racing silks back in 2020, he won races at Compiegne and Fontainebleau in France before landing the big one, a €100,000 Listed Handicap Hurdle at Auteuil in March 2021.

Injury intervened, but he reappeared from a long absence to finish second in a £50,000 contest at Ascot in February of this year, before going on to land the inaugural running of the Tramore Derby.

We are very grateful to everyone that has been involved with Zoff over the past few years and he now heads  into a very well-deserved retirement in Ireland.  Thanks for all the memories, Zoff!
