Zoffany Bay wins the first Tramore Derby!

 In Pimlico Racing Blog

Zoffany Bay became our third winner from our last four runners and we were delighted to see him bounce back to winning ways in the inaugural running of the Tramore Derby yesterday.

A winner of a €100,000 Listed contest for us at Auteuil in 2021, he missed all of the following year through injury, but had shown his ability remains when runner-up in a £50,000 handicap hurdle at Ascot on his belated return to action in February.

Trainer Peter Fahey (pictured) has his team in fine form again and back from a couple of months off, we were delighted to see Zoff get his head in front at Tom’s local track, with plenty of owners in attendance to cheer him home.

Peter has had Galway in mind for Zoff all year and that is very much the plan – we’ll enter on the flat and over hurdles there and fingers crossed we can find another good opportunity for him.
