Schone doubles up!
Claimed for just €8,000 in France last year, Schone Aussicht continues to progress over hurdles and followed up her win at Limerick late last month with another front-running success at Downpatrick yesterday, under a well-judged ride from Mike O’Connor.
The daughter of Pastorius had shown lots of promise in her first couple of starts over hurdles during the winter, but a break since has clearly done her plenty of good and the six year old recorded her career-high Racing Post Rating of 124 yesterday, with a Timeform Racing of 120.
We have lots of options with her – she jumps her hurdles so well that she could easily take to the larger obstacles, while we also have a flat mark of 60 that looks potentially very lenient on the form she is showing over timber.
Schone Aussicht became our first horse in training with Henry de Bromhead last October, so it has been brilliant to see her in the winners’ enclosure on two occasions in the past fortnight. Congratulations to her owners!
