Pimlico Racing
Over the past decade, Nathaniel Barnett has managed two of the leading racing syndicates in the UK, with winners at racecourses throughout the country and abroad, from Ascot and Cheltenham to Auteuil and Saint-Cloud.
Pimlico Racing has National Hunt and Flat horses in training with top-class trainers across Ireland and the UK.
Pimlico Racing syndicates were launched in 2019, focusing on acquiring horses that can take us to the big meetings, both over jumps and on the flat.
Our first three horses to run all won, including two on their first start for us, with all three sourced for £8,000 or less. We enjoyed our first big success in March 2021, with Zoffany Bay landing a €100,000 Listed contest at Auteuil.
We hit the ground running with multiple winners in Ireland and we have a burgeoning and talented team to look forward to on the racecourse in 2024.
Our National Hunt horses in Ireland for 2024 are Chutzpal, Pastorale and Zurich (Henry de Bromhead), Ninth Titan and North Moon (Willie Mullins), Amina and Innatendue (John McConnell) and I Am Mimi (Gavin Cromwell).
In the UK, our National Hunt horses are Collanisi, Stardhem (Ben Pauling) and Mourzouk (Tim Vaughan). On the flat, we have recent winner Chindwin (James Owen) and our unraced New Bay two year old, Antonin Dvorak (Karl Burke).

Nathaniel Barnett
Manager, Pimlico Racing and Pimlico Racing Ireland
Nathaniel Barnett has been a leading syndicate and racing club manager since 2008, with over 150 winners in that time.
Nathaniel has a wealth of experience in the industry, having worked as a form advisor for Andrew Balding, as researcher for racing presenter Clare Balding and as assistant trainer to Tim Vaughan, prior to setting up as a bloodstock agent in 2013. He has bought the winners of over 300 races to date, including 2022 Coral Gold Cup (Hennessy) winner Le Milos.
As well as Pimlico Racing, Nathaniel also runs the Kingsclere Racing Club for the Balding family.
Tom Raine
Co-Manager, Pimlico Racing Ireland
Though an accountant by trade, Tom has always had an affinity with horses and before embarking on his current career, he was based as a work rider in the UK for a couple of seasons in 2012/13 working for Tim Vaughan. He also trained a winner himself between the flags in Ireland!
One third of the very popular ‘The Finishing Line‘ racing podcast, Tom is a passionate and knowledgeable fan of the sport and co-manages the running of Pimlico Racing’s Irish-based syndicates.
