Chindwin thriving at James Owen’s

Tattersalls February Sale recruit Chindwin has really thrived in recent weeks since joining James Owen and we are looking forward to a successful season ahead!

Rated 79 after his three runs in maidens, which included midfield efforts at Sandown Park and Newbury, he is now down to a mark of 60, off which he could be particularly well-handicapped.  A 205,000gns yearling purchase at Tattersalls Book 1, he was gelded shortly after arriving at James’s yard and he feels that has really helped him.

A sound individual, he is taking his training very well and we will be looking to have him on the racecourse in April.  As you can see from the photo above, he looks an absolute picture and James couldn’t be happier with his progress.

The Chindwin syndicate will run through to the Tattersalls October Horses In Training Sale, where he has the potential to sell very well if he can find improvement for us on turf this season.  It promises to be a successful and exciting 2024 campaign!
