Chutzpal wins Premier Handicap at Killarney!

Chutzpal has been a fantastic performer for us since joining the Pimlico team last year and he was recording the biggest success of his career when landing the €45,000 Premier Handicap at Killarney yesterday evening.

Given an excellent front-running ride by Wayne Hassett, the six year old showed his customary game attitude to fend off all challengers, drawing clear on the run to the line to land the €26,550 prize for his delighted owners, several of whom were able to make it along.

Yesterday’s win was his fourth from 11 starts in the Pimlico silks and he is certainly doing his syndicate members proud!  We’ll see what the handicapper does before making any decisions as to where he goes next, but the £50,000 Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket looks an obvious target.  Looking further ahead, we would love to get him back over hurdles and hopefully we can find a nice handicap for him in the early autumn.
