New Pimlico recruit joins Joseph O’Brien

A month on from having our first Pimlico horse in France, we now have one in Ireland as well, with Newmarket July Sales purchase Lamloom joining Joseph O’Brien.

It seems only yesterday that he was riding Group 1 winners around the world, but Joseph is already established as a leading trainer, both flat and National Hunt, with a host of big-race successes to his name.

I thought Lamloom was particularly good value and given his mark of 86, he can get into some of the valuable handicaps in Ireland this season and beyond, hopefully starting with a tilt at the Irish Cambridgeshire towards the end of August.
