Cottie
Lease shares sold out.
A dual winner for Pimlico Racing in Ireland in recent seasons, the talented Cottie was sold to Dan Skelton in October 2023 with the intention of her being retired to the paddocks as a broodmare.
However, Dan was keen to race her and has kindly given us the opportunity to lease Cottie for the year ahead, in partnership with the Skelton family’s Alne Park Stud, which we are delighted to do.
She is likely to be ready to run at the end of February/early March and there are some nice handicaps for us to target with her this spring. Possible races include the Challenger Series Mares’ Final at Cheltenham in April and a mares’ handicap hurdle at the Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr that month.

Dan Skelton
Long-time assistant to multiple Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls, Dan Skelton made an immediate impression on his switch to the training ranks a decade ago and is now firmly established as one of the leading National Hunt trainers in the UK.
A multiple Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer, the Skelton yard is a family affair, with brother Harry winning the Jockeys’ Championship in 2020-21.
We are delighted to have our first horse in training with Dan in 2024, leasing dual winner Cottie from the Skelton family’s Alne Park Stud.
